If we were honest about new years resolutions we wouldn’t make them. But alas, another post about resolutions and how I’m going to be a better person in 2015. Let me start by saying I’m not going to be a better person. I’m going to be the same person, maybe a better version of myself… but let’s not get carried away with that. I tried to keep my resolutions attainable and realistic.
I want to blog more.
I was surprised when I logged on and saw that my last post wasn’t from New Years 2014.. jeeze. I know that by blogging more I can improve my writing skills and in the long run that will help me in my personal and professional life.
Drink more smoothies.
I own arguably the best blender on the market today (a Vitamix) and have to start making healthy, delicious smoothies daily. I started today with this delicious orange smoothie from GimmeSomeOven. I halved the recipe since I had just downed a glass of OJ but in anticipation of all the hand shaking, kissing, and hugging that’s bound to go down this evening during our New Years Eve celebrations I’m on top of my germ-a-phobe game!
Do more of what I love for me.
I love going to spin class and walking. I think that I should be running, lifting weights and swimming more but I really haven’t made time for those things in my life. I’m going to continue to do the things that I love and go from there.
Buying a house and moving out is expensive. In 2015 I will not be making the biggest purchase of my life and will hopefully be able to save a few more pennies than I did in 2014.
Live a simpler life.
I want to take into account everything I have and live a simpler life. It’s going to take some time but I want to be free from clutter, consumerism and be more grateful for this life and everything we have.
If you are staying in this evening for New Years to watch the ball drop or heading out with loved ones enjoy the moment and Happy New Years!
Here are some highlights from 2014 –
Cheers to 2015.
